The 340B Peer-to-Peer Program

The 340B Peer-to-Peer Program is designed to spotlight high-performing 340B covered entities and recognize the American Pharmacists Association (AphA), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) as Leading Practice Sites. The program was created in 2011.

Leading Practice Sites share their experiences through free, monthly webinars that are held at least twice a month. They cover various topics, including compliance improvement, managing inventory, audit readiness, operationalizing 340B policies, contract pharmacy, etc.

How are Leading Practice Sites selected?

Leading Practice Sites are selected based on their compliance with the following aspects:

  • accuracy of OPA database information;
  • HRSA/state-compliant duplicate discount avoidance;
  • accuracy of OPA database information;
  • forward-looking surveillance and intelligence to update policies and procedures to accommodate emerging legislative and policy changes;
  • scheduled reviews and updates of diversion avoidance strategies.

Become a 340B Peer-to-Peer recognized site

APhA is now accepting applications for the 340B Peer-to-Peer Program.

Applicants that have shown bets leading practices are accepted into this program. Each application is reviewed in accordance with the following factors: cost-effectiveness, access to affordable medications, quality assurance, quality business practices, positive outcomes in pharmaceutical care, etc.

How to apply

Participation in the 340B Peer-to-Peer Program will provide the following benefits:

Selected entities will get:

  1. APhA membership for three leadership team members;
  2. $20.000 stipend for 2 years of participation;
  3. A participation plaque;
  4. Acknowledgment in publications;
  5. Networking opportunities;
  6. Financial support for select conference attendance to represent 340B stakeholders.
